Air Force Trailblazer Jeannie Leavitt to Deliver UT Commencement Address

Retired Maj. Gen. Jeannie M. Leavitt, the U.S. Air Force’s first female fighter pilot and a 1990 aerospace engineering graduate of The University of Texas at Austin, will deliver the keynote address at UT’s 141st Spring Commencement on May 11.

The University of Texas at Austin is welcoming visitors to campus for the solar eclipse on April 8. In addition to the distribution of free eclipse glasses, live music and events around campus, a unique comprehensive visual installation at the Oden Institute for Computational Engineering and Sciences will be on display. The installation, "From COASTLINE to INLINE," integrates arts and technology at the intersection of climate change, flood and disease modeling.
