Studying Transport-induced Blood Clot Embolization as a Fluid-Structure Interaction Phenomenon

This grant will fund the purchase of a particle imaging velocimetry and digital image correlation system to study the embolization of venous blood clot as a fluid-structure interaction problem. This equipment grant will help us better understand thromboembolic disease which is a significant source of morbidity and mortality in the U.S.
