Chad McFarland is the Sr. Manager of the Boeing Research & Technology Artificial Intelligence Technologies organization including the Center of Applied Simulation and Analytics (Laboratory) in Huntsville, Alabama.
The team is working on AI technology for Boeing’s future autonomous aircraft & information services (analytics) and Modeling & Simulation technology for future Model-Based Engineering on Programs. The CASA has an autonomous car test-bed and the fastest computers for Machine Learning in the Boeing Company to support R&D projects.
Chad also is the Boeing Strategic University Focal for Carnegie Mellon University and will begin participating on the External Advisory Committee for The University of Texas at Austin’s Aerospace Engineering and Engineering Mechanics Department in April. Chad received a MSE in ASM/EM (Orbital Mechanics) from The University of Texas in Austin and has been active in college recruiting activities and in the sponsorship of ECE senior class projects.
