Professor J. T. Oden has received an honorary doctorate, Doctor of Engineering, from Ohio State University. The University Senate and Board of Trustees awarded the degree in order to recognize Dr. Oden's "distinguished career as an engineer and his pioneering contributions to the research and study of computational engineering and sciences."
Professor Oden will receive the honorary doctorate during the autumn commencement in December at Ohio State University.
He holds Cockrell Family Regents Chair in Engineering #2 and serves as director of the Institute for Computational Engineering and Sciences.
