The aerospace engineering graduate program in the Cockrell School of Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin was ranked No. 8 in the nation according to U.S. News & World Report’s 2019 graduate program rankings, affirming its position as one of the elite aerospace engineering graduate programs in the U.S.
Graduate students in the aerospace engineering program work alongside world-class faculty in interdisciplinary research centers to solve important technological and scientific problems related to aviation, space technology, robotics, energy, the environment, and biomechanics.
U.S. News & World Report's engineering graduate program rankings are based on student acceptance rates, faculty/student ratios, research expenditures, reputation among engineers in industry and academia, the number of doctoral degrees produced, the percentage of faculty elected to membership in the National Academy of Engineering and entrance exam scores.
Additionally, the aerospace engineering undergraduate program was ranked No. 8 in the nation in U.S. News & World Report’s 2018 rankings, and the Center for World University Rankings (CWUR) ranked the UT Austin aerospace engineering program No. 9 in the world.
