For the first time, The University of Texas at Austin is partnering with SXSW Interactive to host UT Village at SXSW, an all-day event on Sunday, March 15, that showcases the university’s latest research, emerging technologies and game-changing discoveries and is open to anyone with a SXSW badge.

UT Village will feature leading UT Austin and industry experts on five panels with topics ranging from predictive digital maps and big data to driverless cars and 3-D printing. After the panels, there will be an Innovation Showcase, where some of the university’s newly developed technologies — augmented reality tech, electronic skin tattoos, an “invisibility cloak” and a robotic exoskeleton — will be on display as interactive exhibits.
