Satellite Tracking Automation

This site describes the background of the Satellite Tracking Station (on top of Woolrich Laboratories at the University of Texas, Austin), the importance of designing a computerized, user-friendly, remotely operated motion-control system for the satellite dish, and the details behind the work completed thus far.
The goals of the project were to design and implement dish motion sensor arrays, connect the dish motors and sensors to the motion controllers, design a motion-control application, and automate satellite tracking. The report details the goals that we have completed and the work that future design teams may pursue. This site serves as an extensive description of the work LiNC has accomplished and as an important guide for future design teams.
