What made you decide to pursue an aerospace engineering degree?

Aerospace engineering combines my passion for math, science and flight. I hope one day that it will help me fulfill my dream of becoming an astronaut.

If you participated in Study Abroad, please include a brief description about your experience.

I was the project manager for an international engineering project in Africa through a university program called Project for Under-served Communities (PUC). My project was to provide a small village with filtered water. PUC is a year-long program. In the fall semester, my team and I were in charge of fundraising. In the spring semester, we drafted the technical designs, and in the summer, we implemented the water filtration system. It was amazing to see the smile on the people's faces when we completed the project.

List three things that most people don't know about you.

1) I was born in the Philippines during the volcanic eruption of Mt. Pinatubo.

2) My nickname is Mikee.

3) I still and will always love Disney!
