Welcome to the Department of Aerospace Engineering and Engineering Mechanics Research page. Below you will find information about each of the department’s research areas, as well as its research centers and labs. There are four formally organized research centers and several laboratories within the department. They are designed to be cross-disciplinary and usually involve faculty members and graduate students from several departments. The nano-satellite known as FASTRAC was designed and built in the Satellite Design Lab by a group of students led by three faculty members: Dr. Lightsey, Dr. Fowler and Dr. Raja.
