There are approximately 23,000 objects the size of a softball orbiting Earth and the number of satellites being launched into orbit continues to increase at a rapid rate. On the 60th anniversary of the first U.S. satellite launch, associate professor Moriba Jah spoke with Fox 7 News about his research on tracking and cataloging space satellites and debris orbiting Earth as well as the growing problem of space traffic management.
