Hans Mark, Professor Emeritus, has been recognized by the Texas Blazers with the Pillar Award for Leadership. He was honored with the award during the Texas Blazers Pillar Awards Reception held on Feb. 10 in the Main Building.
The Texas Blazers is an all-male honor society at The University of Texas at Austin, founded in 1994. Members are selected for their leadership, commitment to service, and academic achievements with the mission of making a tangible difference both on the Forty Acres and in the greater Austin community.
Mark was selected for his “ various levels of work for UT and his impressive roles off campus” which have included serving as director of the NASA Ames Research Center, secretary of the U.S. Air Force, deputy administrator of NASA, and chancellor of The University of Texas System.
