  • Flow Diagnostics Using Raman and Rayleigh Scattering
  • Optimal Modeling of Nonequilibrium Flows

Dr. Varghese specializes in nonintrusive measurements using lasers and in the study of nonequilibrium flows. He has served on the Cockrell School of Engineering faculty since 1983. He has published more than 60 technical articles and reports.

Dr. Varghese serves as the Chair of the ASE/EM Department. He began his term in Fall 2009. He is also Director of the Center for Aeromechanics Research (CAR).
