Research Interests:

  • Numerical Solution to Partial Differential Equations
  • Algorithms for Massively Parallel Scientific Computation
  • Application to Surface and Subsurface Flow and Transport in Earth Systems

Dr. Dawson's research focuses on numerical simulation of flow in porous media and in the development of algorithms for massively parallel computing. He has served on the Cockrell School of Engineering faculty since 1995. Dr. Dawson has published more than 50 technical reports.
