• Nonlinear Adaptive Control
• Dynamical Systems Theory
• Estimation and System Identification

Dr. Akella specializes in the control of nonlinear dynamical systems that are subject to large uncertainties. He has served on the Cockrell School of Engineering faculty since 1999. He has published more than 20 research papers and technical reports so far.
