Mark MelansonMr. Melanson has over 35 years of industry experience developing technology and tactical aircraft including the F-35, F-22, F-16, and a range of advanced development technology programs. Mark currently serves as the Integrated Operations Manager for the “Labs and Technical Services” organization within Lockheed Martin Aeronautics.  Mark is responsible for day-to-day integration of tactical and strategic activities and initiatives for a wide variety of test capabilities (ground test labs, simulation and systems integration labs) and approximately 800 personnel distributed across the breadth of the Aeronautics major sites.

Mark is an Associate Fellow in the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) serving as the national Program Committee Coordinator for the Technical Activities Committee, a Ground Test Technical Committee past chair, the Arnold Engineering Development Center (USAF) customer focal point, and various NASA/Industry Review Teams.  Mark also currently chairs the AIAA sponsored focus group “Wind Tunnel Users Working Group – US Industry” to develop industry-wide strategic recommendations for sustaining the national wind tunnel infrastructure and is the chair of the Lockheed Martin Wind Tunnel Focus group.
