Longhorns and Aggies Team Up in Space

Bevo-2, a small satellite that was designed and built by Cockrell School students, launched to the International Space Station alongside Texas A&M’s AggieSat4 this month. 


 

Continued Support of Space Exploration is a Must if America is to Succeed

Michael Watkins, Director of the Center of Space Research, authored this op-ed piece on the support of space exploration. 


 

Longhorn Rocketry Association to Enhance Launch of Staging Rockets

LRA is working on a stabilization system that will keep a multistage rocket straight on its path as it launches thousands of feet into the air.  


 

Mary Wheeler Wins $1.5M NSF Grant to Develop More Efficient, Realistic Fracturing Simulations

Mary Wheeler received a $1.5 million NSF grant to use big data to predict and model naturally-occurring ground fractures. 


 

Stephanie Wilson Selected to Receive Texas Ex Distinguished Alumna Award

Stephanie Wilson, MS ASE ’92, was presented with the 2015 Texas Ex Distinguished Alumna Award on Nov. 5.


 

Tinsley Oden's Group Seeks to Improve Tumor Forecasting

Tinsley Oden is leading a research group that is focused on modeling how cancer cells thrive in their native environment. 


 

Jayant Sirohi Wins ASE/EM LUNAR Council Teaching Award

Jayant Sirohi is the recipient of the 2015 student selected ASE/EM LUNAR Council Teaching Award.
