dave korsmeyerDr. David Korsmeyer is the NASA Ames Associate Director for Research and Technology at NASA Ames Research Center in Silicon Valley. Dr. Korsmeyer is one of the four Senior leaders guiding the Ames Research Center and is responsible for the executive leadership for the Center's Research and Technology portfolio.  He is responsible for the overall scope and direction of the Center’s research, technology, and engineering developments to support NASA’s missions in Aeronautics, Science, Exploration, and Technology.  Dr. Korsmeyer manages the four NASA Virtual Institutes hosted at Ames, the competitive Internal Research and Development projects, and the Center’s external research collaborations.

Dr. Korsmeyer earned his Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering from the Pennsylvania State University, and both his Master's and Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Texas in Austin. Dr. Korsmeyer is a Sloan Fellow with a Master's degree in Management from Stanford University's Graduate School of Business. Dr. Korsmeyer is active in the IAF, AIAA, and IEEE.
