Jorge CapetoJorge Capeto has been employed with Stress Engineering Services, Inc., a full-service engineering consulting firm based in Houston, Texas, for more than 6 years. As a project manager in the Upstream Practice at Stress Engineering Services, he is involved in analytical studies on risers and floating structures intended for offshore service. His projects involve analysis and design of marine riser systems including strength and fatigue assessments, nonlinear finite element analysis considering material and geometric nonlinearities, fully coupled global analysis of floating production systems using both frequency domain and time domain simulations.

Jorge Capeto received his BS degree in Naval Architecture / Ocean Engineering from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro in 2001. He received his MS degree in Engineering Mechanics from The University of Texas at Austin in 2003. His graduate work involved the design, fabrication and testing of a hydroforming machine emphasizing extruded aluminum pipes as the deformed body. He is licensed as a Professional Engineer in Texas.

He resides in Cypress, Texas with his wife and daughter. He enjoys running, watching movies and spending time outdoors with his family.
