Fluids Seminar - Rarefied Gas Dynamics Discipline Overview

Thursday, May 7, 2015
3:30 pm

WRW 113

The Applied Aeroscience and CFD branch at NASA JSC is responsible for providing support to many major NASA programs, including Orion and ISS, characterizing aerodynamic performance and aeroheating environments for all phases of flight. The Rarefied Gas Dynamics group provides capabilities and tools for analysis of a variety of low density, non-continuum flows. The current presentation will focus on our Direct Simulation Monte Carlo (DSMC) production software DAC and will also present some on-going analyses supporting ISS proximity operations and ISS end of life.
