Dr. Mack retired from the Department of Aerospace Engineering and Engineering Mechanics in January 2001 after 41 years of service to the department, which included his long and sterling tenure as Undergraduate Advisor and Assistant to the Chairman for Teaching Programs. He also specialized in nonlinear periodic waves and oscillating membranes on nonlinear elastic foundations, natural convection within enclosures, slow viscous flows and flow through porous media.
