Timothy Price Crain II, BS ASE 1995, MS ASE 1999, and PhD ASE 2000, was selected as a recipient of the 2008 Outstanding Young Texas Ex Award from the Texas Exes for significant achievements in his career and service to the university before reaching the age of 40. He currently works for NASA as the Orion orbit Guidance, Navigation, and Control Systems Manager.

Dr. Crain was recognized by the Texas Exes, The University of Texas Alumni Association, at the 2008 Outstanding Young Texas Ex Awards, Saturday, May 17, 2008.

The Texas Exes inaugurated the award in 1980 to recognize young alumni who are distinguished in their fields and have demonstrated a continuing interest in The University of Texas and the Texas Exes. A recipient must be under the age of 40 to receive the award.
